Dubai, UAE; 29 November 2011: TwingeDxb, UAE’s first community-driven urban fringe festival organised by Sphere Events, will display the works of local photographer Catalin Marin and painter Noha Mourad. The works of both artists will be available for display and sale every day of the festival from 6 – 9 pm from 10-16 December 2011.

Noha Mourad started oil painting in 2007, with her first project being fish and parrot portraits. She moves across the palette from contemporary to modern, portraits, abstracts, experimenting with colours, light, contrast and reflections. A selection of her canvases will be showcased at the event.

Catalin Marin launched his photoblog, Momentary Awe, in 2004 as an easy way of sharing his travel photographs with friends and family. In 2006, following his move to Dubai, Marin started accepting photography commissions from a variety of clients from around the Middle East. He will have a range of his prints and canvases available at TwingeDxb.

TwingeDxb will showcase a different field every day beginning with ‘Praise for Prose’ headlined by Alexander McNabb, author, Olives. Other fields include Rhythm Sessions (music), Passion for Fashion (designers), Laughter therapy (stand up comics), Drama in Dubai (local drama groups), Magic of Poetry (local poets) and Reels of Dubai featuring local film-makers waiting in the wings.
