UPANDRUNNING Medical Centre has upgraded its Studio Republik rehabilitation centre to a licensed polyclinic, expanding access to doctor‑led care for Dubai’s active and fitness‑focused community.
The upgraded clinic will now offer a broader range of services including sports medicine, sports nutrition, osteopathy, chiropractic care, massage therapy, physiotherapy, performance testing, and athlete and wellness medicals.
The new licence also allows a doctor to be on site, supporting consultations and referrals within an integrated care setting for patients who want medical oversight alongside rehabilitation and performance services.

The move comes as the UAE’s health and fitness sector continues to expand, with market research projecting the country’s health and fitness club market to reach US$742.9 million by 2033, up from US$484.4 million in 2024. Industry reporting also shows strong confidence across the sector, with 87% of gym operators expecting growth and 60% planning new UAE locations within two years.
The expansion also reflects the growing importance of injury prevention and recovery in active lifestyles. A 2024 study of gym‑centre injuries found a 43.4% prevalence of injuries among members in one referenced fitness‑facility study, while common injury types included strains, muscle ruptures or tears, and muscle cramps or spasms.
UPANDRUNNING’s Studio Republik location joins the group’s wider network of medical centres across Dubai, reinforcing its commitment to evidence‑based, multidisciplinary care for athletes, active residents and wellness‑minded patients.
