Alcatel-Lucent appointed Tom Eggemeier as Global Sales Leader for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise based in Daly City, California. This appointment will be effective on July 1, 2011.

In this newly created position, Tom will be responsible for driving sales of our Genesys, Communications and Networks products and solutions worldwide through global accounts, channels and strategic alliances that currently include HP and IBM.

Most recently Tom served as EMEA Sales Leader for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. During his tenure Tom grew our #1 market share in contact center and communications while improving our network market position from #9 to #3. Prior to this, Tom held a variety of management roles in both the carrier and enterprise markets at Alcatel-Lucent, Enterasys Networks, and Compaq in general management, research and development, product management and marketing, sales, channels, marketing, and corporate communications.

Tom is a frequent speaker and advocate of the power of social media and the role it plays in both connecting employees to the enterprise, and providing new engagement opportunities for customers with brands.

Tom holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Dayton. He has served on the Law School’s Visiting Committee.
