The deadline for entries is the 26th of April and projects adjudged the best on the day of the event will receive prizes.

Prashant K. Gulati (popularly known as PK), founder, entrepreneur at The Assembly, said, “We have an encouraging level of participation from universities, hobbyists, and enthusiasts around the country. This event is an opportunity for us to highlight the results of the groundwork the authorities in the region have been doing to nurture local talent and increase innovation. The team at The Assembly work very closely with the universities and the start-up ecosystem to enable them through our weekly workshops and the results are quite encouraging.”

Alongside the user submissions, The Assembly will also demonstrate projects created over the course of its own past workshops, including a precision controlled robotic arm, an IoT controlled foosball table, an augmented reality maze and even a self-driving car.

The Assembly recently held a preview of the event at the recent TiECon 2018 hosted by TiE Dubai. Show & Tech is being supported by Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), In5, Optimistix Ventures and TiE Dubai.
