MIDDLDistreeE EAST DISTREE EMEA 2015 will host a record number of senior executives and buyers from top retailers and e-tailers. DISTREE EMEA, which takes place in Monaco from February 24th to 27th, offers technology and consumer electronics brands a unique opportunity to pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with retailers and e-tailers looking to expand their product portfolio, identify new suppliers and place orders.

Farouk Hemraj, Director and Co-Founder at DISTREE Events, said: “DISTREE EMEA provides a powerful gateway to the region’s retail channel. We’re delighted that an increased number of retailers and e-tailers are sending buying teams to this year’s event. This magnifies the business opportunities for participating brands, offering them a highly effective way to quickly and efficiently launch, build or manage retail relationships across EMEA.”

As a focused ‘trade only’ event, DISTREE EMEA unites the regional channel community, bringing together vendors, distributors, retailers and e-tailers in one place at one time. Taking place for the 13th year in a row in 2015, DISTREE EMEA will offer a wide range of business benefits to all attendees. This year’s event will also see larger delegations from influential regional retail groups such as Euronics.

John M. Olsen, Managing Director at Euronics International, commented: “Euronics is gearing up to step into the smart home domain, and we are therefore looking to meet potential suppliers [at DISTREE EMEA 2015] with whom we can partner on our strategic journey.”

DISTREE EMEA covers the full range of technology and consumer electronics products sold through the volume retail channel. From A-brand vendors to start-ups, the event allows all brands to improve their retail channel reach and relationships. As well as established categories such as PCs, tablets and mobile phones, the event also focuses on new and emerging categories, allowing retailers to unearth new brands and products.

DISTREE EMEA will also include a Smart Channels Summit focused on how the retail channel will evolve to deliver smart homes, connected devices and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to consumers across Europe. Innovative retailers such as Lick, a French chain focused on connected objects, will attend this new session, which is hosted by research firm CONTEXT.

Stephane Bohbot, Owner and CEO at Innov8, Lick’s parent company, recently commented: “We are just at the beginning of this emerging market for connected objects. That is why we have built the first concept stores dedicated to connected objects.”

A new advice service from research house GfK will also debut at DISTREE EMEA 2015, allowing delegates the opportunity to pre-schedule private meetings at the GfK Clinic to discuss specific business issues or trends. The GfK team will also deliver a wide range of speeches, presentations and workshops throughout the event.

More than 100 retail executives from 35 countries are already confirmed to attend DISTREE EMEA 2015, with many more expected to sign up before the event begins. Delegations from Russian retailers Auchan, Eldorado, Euroset and Megafon will also be present at DISTREE EMEA, allowing brands to assess channel opportunities and discuss current in-country market issues.

Hemraj added: “The DISTREE EMEA format is all about efficiency. All the attending retailers are pre-qualified by our recruitment team to ensure they fit the event profile. This is a unique opportunity for brands – from start-ups to A-brands – to meet face-to-face with the retail executives from across EMEA that can make a real difference to their business success in 2015 and beyond.”

Retail executives have the opportunity to network with their peers at DISTREE EMEA and attend presentations and workshops designed to enhance their skill sets. Régis Schultz, CEO at French retailer Darty will deliver a speech as part of the DISTREE EMEA 2015 conference programme.

“The quality and quantity of retail delegates attending DISTREE EMEA continues to climb year after year,” added Hemraj. “It is a powerful mix of e-tailers, specialist retailers and generalists, all capable of delivering significant sales for vendors across multiple markets.”
