Top five vendors in each product category go forward to live electronic vote at Gala Dinner. Awards held in conjunction with DISTREE EMEA, the region’s leading annual volume ICT & CE channel event.
The full list of vendor nominations for the ‘EMEA Channel Academy: 2014 Awards’ has been announced. The awards, taking place for the sixth year in a row, are staged in conjunction with regional channel event DISTREE EMEA in Monaco.
A total of 46 different technology and consumer electronics (CE) vendors received official nominations across 12 product categories with eight brands nominated in multiple categories. Samsung picked up five official nominations, followed by Asus with four and Lenovo with three. Belkin, HP, Logitech, Sony and WD all received two nominations each.
Hundreds of distributors, e-tailers and retailers from across the region nominated their preferred vendors across 12 product categories during the last month. The top five in each category receive official nominations. The overall champion in each product category will be determined by a live electronic vote held at a Gala Dinner on February 13th at the Salle des Etoiles in Monaco.

- Tablets Vendor of the Year: Asus, Lenovo, Modecom, Prestigio, Samsung
- Smartphone Vendor of the Year: HTC, Lenovo, Nokia, Samsung, Sony
- PC Accessories Vendor of the Year: Belkin, Genius, Logitech, Promate, Trust
- Tablet & Phone Accessories Vendor of the Year: Belkin, Griffin, Logitech, Port, Samsung
- Storage Vendor of the Year: Adata, Kingston, Sandisk, Seagate, WD
- Printing Vendor of the Year: Brother, Canon, Epson, HP, Samsung
- Home Networking Vendor of the Year: Asus, D-Link, Intellinet, Linksys, TP-Link
- Software Vendor of the Year: Adobe, Google, Kaspersky, Microsoft, Symantec
- Audio Vendor of the Year: Beats, Bose, Philips, Sennheiser, Sony
- Components Vendor of the Year: Asus, Gigabyte, Intel, MSI, WD
- Wearable Technology & Connected Device Vendor of the Year: Connectedevice (for Cookoo), Fitbit, Plantronics, Samsung, Withings

During the nomination process, channel partners were asked to assess vendors on a variety of factors including partner engagement, channel strategy, pricing policies, stock management, product evolution, margin potential, channel management, retail engagement, marketing and the development of channel programmes in EMEA.

DISTREE EMEA 2014 takes place in Monaco from February 11-14th, attracting senior buyers and executives from the region’s leading e-tailers, retailers and distributors. More than 140 brands will participate, using the event as a platform to manage, build or launch channels across EMEA.
