  • Initial phase will focus on support for mobile networks radio and core solutions and special solutions for Public Sector & Enterprises

Nokia has inaugurated a Center of Competence (CoC) in Cairo to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Africa region. In the initial phase, the center will provide regional pre-sales support for mobile networks radio and core solutions, as well as advanced mobile solutions with special emphasis on dense network applications, public sector and enterprises. Specifically, the CoC will help Nokia better serve small- and medium-sized companies by providing dedicated experts who have a clear understanding of their needs and the suitable solutions for their businesses, thus increasing the company’s addressable market in the region.

The CoC will gather a team of highly skilled solution experts in Egypt, assisting Nokia’s Mobile Networks business group and Global Sales Support organization. Services will cover Bid Management, Radio and Core Networks solutions consultancy and offerings, as well as advanced mobile solutions with special emphasis on dense network applications such as Mobile Edge Computing, SmallCells and WiFi, public sector, public safety and mission-critical applications and enterprises. The center will also support Nokia’s Global Services business and contribute to new business tenders for other business groups.

Yasser Ramsis, head of the Cairo Center of Competence, said: “We are committed to providing the best possible services and support to our customers, and this Center is a strong step in that direction. It will allow us to significantly enhance the level of services for our customers, and also provide an important opportunity for local talent to work with a leading global technology firm. The center is crucial to increasing our presence in small- and medium-sized enterprises in the region.”
