NEC's dedicated web site for Airport Display Solutions

Middle East, 2 April 2012 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has launched a new website dedicated to assisting airports and airport designers to find the most appropriate LCD display solution for their projects. With an ever range of display technologies available to airports, this site aims to inform and therefore simplify the decision making process.

Visitors to the www.airport-nec.com will be able to see NEC’s wide portfolio of display solutions that have been designed specifically for a range of applications from simple flight information systems, split-flap replacement media walls, networked digital signage systems, to complex airport operation control room video walls.

With over 30 years’ experience of delivering display systems to more than 180 airport installations worldwide, NEC stands for product quality and design perfection with a reputation for reliability and an enviable pan-EMEA support infrastructure to back it up.

The site will act as a centralised hub for product selection, design drawings, case studies, upcoming event information and details on how to request a visit from a NEC representative or even to request to evaluate one of NEC’s display solutions.

Designed for long-term operation, NEC displays and video walls incorporate innovative designs, high quality LCD panels and components that go through demanding quality assurance levels. The company’s solutions go beyond just the displays themselves delivering a complete end-to-end solution including remote management and monitoring, embedded display device controller systems, industrial multi-headed workstations and video wall mountings.

“Airports can be a particularly challenging environment for public displays. Airports rely on our display technology to deliver clear and accurate information to their passengers, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year,” said Richard Wilks, Aviation Business Development Manager EMEA at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“This new site highlights our capabilities across the entire airport ecosystem, including every aspect of passenger information display, way-finding, interactive retail advertising, control rooms and common user terminal displays. With some of the largest airports in Europe, such as Gatwick, Frankfurt, Copenhagen and Zurich using NEC Professional Series LCD display systems, and recent new terminal deployments at Dublin and Barcelona, the NEC business offering is specifically tailored to the demands of today’s growing airports.”
