Munich, Hilversum, November 2, 2011 – NEC will showcase new innovative solutions that enhance patient care and elevate performance in healthcare institutions at the world’s largest medical fair, MEDICA, November 16-19, 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany. NEC will bring together the comprehensive range of products and solutions offered by its divisions NEC Unified Solutions and NEC Display Solutions Europe, and present a broad spectrum of state-of-the-art solutions specifically aimed at enhancing efficiency and quality of care in various key locations of hospitals and other healthcare environments.

These include hospital entrance/reception, reading room, operating room, standard office, training/conference and quality assurance, but also elderly homes like TrustedCare, clinics and doctor’s practices.During the fair, NEC will present ‘Innovation for Life’, Integrated communication solutions for CARE & CURE.

Mobility solutions on show will include IP DECT in combination with Mobicall integrated messaging for mobile staff. Other mobility solutions include Location detection ensuring safety of staff and patients, while contact center solutions provide efficient and cost effective customer care and service. iSHospital is an all-in-one communication, management and billing application that enables healthcare institutions to provide care-free services to patients and employees.

NEC will also demonstrate display and projector solutions for more accurate and QA-compliant radiological diagnosis including mammography. This includes greyscale diagnostic displays, high brightness colour diagnostic displays, new clinical review displays, a new large format Operating Room display and the latest DICOM simulation projectors. These technologies allow doctors to receive all the important data quickly and accurately, with the images easily being made available to relevant internal medical departments via a PACS system for their expert viewing or even to off-site locations, which rely on teleradiology systems.
