Middle East, 25 February, 2015 NEC Display Solutions Europe will be showcasing a new range of medical display solutions designed specifically to meet the demands of modern healthcare professionals, at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2015 in Vienna on March 58, 2015.

NEC Display Solutions meets many of healthcare professionals’ challenges, whether it’s diagnostic, such as radiology, orthopaedics, pathology, and operating room, for back office or for way-finding and information boards throughout the hospital. As more processes in medical environments are digitised and require more accurate information through display, NEC offers the broadest range of display products to meet the demands of these critical everyday scenarios.

On show at the ECR technical exhibition this year will be a new range of high-resolution multi-modality displays for diagnostics, which offer a brighter experience to better enable diagnostics using high quality image displays. NEC will also present its vision of the medical conference room of the future using NEC Ultra HD displays. This visual experience demonstrates how medical professionals can collaborate using displays, with 1:1 pixel cloning to eliminate black borders and provide superb clarity of image.

“This year our presence at ECR is all about being bigger, better and brighter. The future of visual displays in medicine is critical, as new standards come into effect, and medical professionals seek new ways to collaborate and use technology to meet patients’ evolving needs,” said Erik Elbert, Product Engineer for Medical Display Solutions at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “Large screens andhigh resolution displays provide the control, performance and accuracy needed by medical professionals to continually improve healthcare. The technology we will have on show at ECR 2015 demonstrates NEC’s commitment to rising to this challenge.”

In addition, NEC displays using the NEC GammaCompMD Quality Assurance software meet new quality assurance standards to assess display image quality and regular recording documentation, and can help healthcare organisations comply with different international QA regulations. For example, the Acceptance- and Constancy tests for medical displays (DIN 6868-157), which becomes mandatory in Germany from May 2015.
