Announcing special offers and display special solutions for the Education Sector at www.education-nec.com

Abu Dhabi, 21 November 2010 – NEC Display Solutions has today announced the launch of a microsite dedicated entirely to the Education sector at the Education Technology Exhibition, organised by BETT Middle East at Abu Dhabi. Through this website NEC aims to inform suppliers to and users within the education sector about NEC display solutions for education, technology trends and share best practice and case studies related to the display technology in an education environment. In addition to a comprehensive range of projectors, desktop displays and professional signage displays, NEC will offer a special Buy Back Programme and Extended Guarantee on Projector Lamps specifically for the Education customer.

The new microsite uniquely presents all the education display solutions such as Short Throw and Ultra-Short Throw projector solutions as well as High Definition displays that can be used for desktop computers or for signage in schools and large university campuses. All of the product solutions presented on the web site are especially suitable for use in an Education environment. Some of these products including the new M-series desktop projectors and the U-series ultra-short throw projectors will be demonstrated at the Education Technology Exhibition BETT Middle East and early in 2011 at BETT London.

The U-series ultra-short throw projectors have almost no shadow and glare which  improves the experience and efficiency when using interactive whiteboards for both the teacher and the student. The Integrated 3D capability makes the U-series range ready for the next step towards the digital classroom. With the higher brightness models large images can be projected without requiring a lot of space. Less shadow and glare gives the presenter more space to engage with their audience.

The M-series of desktop projectors have a solution for every need and budget. With the special Buy Back Programme and an Extended Guarantee on Projector Lamps, the product range is a perfect solution for a broad range of education users from K-12 through to higher education and adult training facilities.

Registration for an Extended Guarantee extends the lamp guarantee period to 3 years (max. 3000 hours*). This is in addition to the standard guarantee that NEC offers on its projector range and is only valid for “EDU” projectors and the M-series and U-series for use in educational establishments and by educational users.

Upgrading existing products to the latest NEC Technology is now easy with the Buy Back Programme. To make it easier for schools, universities and other educational institutions to keep up-to-date, NEC offers to buy back their current projectors and  replace them with new NEC Display Solutions projectors. This offer allows an institution to  reduces the cost of new NEC Display Solutions technology by helping you realize value from your pre-owned equipment. It also keeps their technology up-to-date using the latest technological developments to help achieve the best transfer of knowledge.

NEC display technology is used extensively within the Middle East across a broad spectrum of education users, from early learning through to adult education.  NEC’s  reputation is built on high quality and performance. The enhanced TCO that this combination offers makes NEC the go-to choice for specifiers and users in the education segment. With NEC’s eco-friendly and edu-centric products and support packages NEC is well placed to retain its position as a leading supplier to education in the region.

BETT Middle East is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on the 21st and 22nd of November, 2010. NEC Display Solutions will be present in Hall 5, Stand C-70.
