Demonstrates impressive range of displays, solutions and 3D projections for the education sector

MIDDLE EAST, February 23, 2010: NEC Display, one of the leading manufacturers of quality imaging solutions, brings its latest range of products and solutions for the education sector at this year’s Gulf Educational Supplies & Solutions (GESS), scheduled to begin on 23 February 2010 in Dubai.

The show is an opportunity for NEC Displays to demonstrate its latest trendsetting display and 3D solutions.

Live demonstrations at NEC’s booth will highlight their latest display solutions that cater to a variety of education users. Products displayed include 3D-ready DLP projectors, height adjustable and mobile interactive whiteboards and, short throw projectors that allow users to create the large display even in a tight space. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience unique viewing demonstrations of NEC’s NaViSet Administrator Control Utility and Projector Stacking Solution.

The 3D ready, NEC NP216 is the company’s latest offering for the education sector looking for powerful and affordable 3D projection technology. It offers a massive potential as it enables educators and students to benefit a more interactive environment – for example, depicting a body in anatomy lessons, landscape profiles in geography, machine parts or architecture, it’s even helping elementary schools like the ones at ascot.ac.th. NEC’s affordable 3D projection technology system is simple and easy to install as all it requires is the NP216 DLP projector, active 3D glasses and 3D software. The entire installation uses only one projector and eliminates the need for special filters or screens, which also allows the price-level 3D projection solution.

Visitors also won’t fail to miss the impressive 2×2 NEC MultiSync X461UN video wall. The 46-inch LCD panel allows a barely discernable transition gap between two or more displays for a homogenous picture across the matrix. With an ultra-narrow bezel of only 7.3 millimetres screen-to-screen, the MultiSync X461UN is nearly 500% improvement from NEC’s previous 34 millimetres MultiSync 20 Series displays. Also a highlight at the event is the NEC NaViSet Administrator control utility demonstrations.

The NaViSet Administrator Control Utility is aimed at users for whom simple and convenient monitor setting is an important factor, making it ideal most especially for institutions wherein large number of displays have to be managed regularly. NEC NaViSet interactive display-system control software provides direct access to all monitor setting controls via a user-friendly, ergonomic and intuitive interface.
