Letswork, the largest coworking platform in the UAE, has launched its meeting rooms and office marketplace. It has already processed over 1,000 bookings of office and meeting rooms since its beta launch, clocking over 11,000 working hours primarily from corporate users.

With an eye on the growing global remote-working trend, Letswork was the first digital platform in the region to activate hotels and cafes as shared workspaces during the day. Users could sign up for a membership to gain access to and perks from a growing network of coworking spaces, hotels and work-friendly cafes with a single pass. With its new serviced office and meeting room marketplace, Letswork is looking to capture the growing market for short-term workspace solutions. Since 2020, it has seen a shift in its consumer base from freelancers and entrepreneurs to corporate employees that now make up two thirds of its members.

“Before the pandemic, remote working was typically reserved for freelancing digital nomads. Fast-forward to 2021 and tens of thousands of companies globally are either embracing a fully remote policy or a hybrid office/remote model. As cities around the globe reopen, we expect people to take advantage of this newfound freedom and become digital nomads in their own right – whether for an hour to meet colleagues in person or a whole day for what we like to call, a ‘work-cation’,” explained Hamza Khan, co-founder of Letswork.

Letswork’s new marketplace has been enthusiastically received by Dubai’s hospitality sector with various brands under Emaar Hospitality Group, Accor, Hilton and Marriott already signed up on the platform. Local co-working spaces including The Co, Nook, OneSpace and Calyp have also begun listing their inventory on the Letswork marketplace.

The platform, accessible on both the Letswork website and mobile app, allows users to book private offices and meeting rooms in business centres and hotels across Dubai. Users can view real-time availability and book and pay instantly, without having to wait for a confirmation from their host venues.

“Technology is at the core of our business,” added Omar Almheiri, co-founder of Letswork. “With the collapse in global business travel and the drop in demand for long-term commercial real estate, we’re allowing our (hospitality) vendors to maximize the profitability of every square foot of their property. With our new marketplace, we’re removing the hassle of phone calls, emails and proposals and making short-term meeting room and office rental as easy as booking a restaurant table.”

Letswork also led the wave for global hotel co-working trend in 2020 by converting guest rooms at Rove Hotels into offices for day-rental. It now offers this service at various other hotels in Dubai and is looking to expand its footprint to other markets. In the UAE alone, it has helped over 25,000 individuals and teams find a space to work and meet from in the UAE.
