Unlike other external hard drives available in the market, the new Imation Multimedia HDD player not only operates as a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed SATA external hard disk drive but also allows the user to browse and play back the entire media library directly through a TV or Home Theater system.

User can create folders to store home video, music, or photos on the internal hard disk with a PC, and then immediately playback the contents on TV.”
The Multimedia 2.5” Hard Disk Player comes with a more compact and slim design. The internal 2.5” hard drive makes it a better choice in portable applications. With movies, photos, and music stored on the multimedia player, simply connect it to a TV set or Home Theater system via the A/V cable provided, and view the media content on TV. Both HD players feature the most powerful Xvid external subtitle support. The complete DVD menu support, photo viewer with thumbnail preview, enhanced private folder utility, and newly added playlist all make them a good choice for building the consumer’s digital home theater system.
Available in capacities of 250, 320 and 500GB, the new Imation Multimedia Hard Disk can play back DVD folders, VCD, MPEG1, MPEG2, DivX/Xvid(AVI) movie files, MP3 music files, JPEG photo and graphic files. The device supports NTFS and FAT32 file systems and is compatible with NTSC and PAL TV systems. The Multimedia Hard Disk comes with all the requisite video jacks (Y/Pb/Pr jacks) that provide high quality output for home theater High Definition flat panel display.
