FVC, one of the leading Value Added Distributors across the Middle East and North Africa with dedicated offices in United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco, has announced an 80 percent growth in revenue in 2008 over 2007. Over 65 percent of this growth in revenue came from the company’s rich media business covering its video, audio and telepresence solutions. FVC’s growing networking and security business contributed with 35 percent towards the growth in business.

K. S. Parag, MD for FVC, said, “We are very pleased with our progress and attribute this to the dedication and commitment of our team and our partners – both vendors and channel partners. We have ensured that we contribute to their success by investing in the right resources from support engineers on the ground to extend our pre- and after-sales service to our partners and their customers. We plan to continue our growth pattern in 2009 and are investing in additional resources in terms of a new executive briefing centre in Saudi Arabia and an expanded team across the region to support our growth plans in the region.”

FVC expanded its regional headcount with a 40 percent increase in its sales force, a 25 percent increase in technical staff and an additional 30 percent in field technical services staff. In addition, the logistics team doubled in size to ensure timely product delivery and the size of the marketing team trebled to strengthen support for partners. As part of its commitment to its regional channel network, FVC also opened a branch office in Abu Dhabi and moved its offices in Riyadh to larger premises that will now host a larger training centre. 2008 saw the opening of a new training centre in Cairo.

However, the company’s largest investment was the opening of its Technology Briefing Centre in Dubai Internet City. This features an Executive Briefing Centre for Polycom’s RPX Telepresence solutions and a Proof of Concept centre that showcases all the major networking technologies that FVC represents. Importantly, in order to provide the best support services to its partner network (both vendors and VARs), FVC revamped its own infrastructure with the installation of an ERP system that helped streamline its communications including accounting and logistics.
