FVC, a leading Value Added Distributor in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA), today officially opened its office in Nairobi, Kenya, to better serve its partners and their customers in East Africa. The new office offers sales and pre-sales support to FVC’s existing partners across East Africa including Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.

At the opening of the new office, K. S. Parag, Managing Director at FVC said, “As a company, we believe in being close to our partners markets to be able to understand their needs better and ensure that we add value both them as well as their customers. The African continent is continuously embracing new technology and investing in infrastructure. This means that we need to be here providing the necessary technology and support to our channel partners to help them achieve their goals.”

FVC also joined its partner Sight and Sound Computers, along with Orange Telkom, and ESBC to open a Telepresence Centre in Kenya, offering video conferencing rental facilities to local businesses.

Ahmed Youssef, General Manager for East & West Africa at FVC, continued, “As we understand the needs of our partners and their customers better, we will include new vendors that will address the requirements of a new and connected Africa. We already have partners in all these countries in East Africa and hope that our direct presence in the region will help to boost and support their efforts.”

Currently, FVC is seeing significant demands in the education and the government sectors especially in Kenya and Ethiopia. It will provide the necessary technology knowhow and support the partners need as well as appoint new partners to address different sectors to ensure that they have the right support infrastructure available for the end customers.
