FVC adds Sourcefire® to Information Security portfolio

New vendor addition will expand security offerings in the region

Dubai, UAE, 15th November 2011: FVC, one of the leading Value Added Distributors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), is now a Value Added Distributor for Sourcefire®, a leader in intelligent cybersecurity solutions, for the MENA region. The relationship gives FVC distribution rights for Sourcefire’s complete range of enterprise security solutions.

Sourcefire is transforming the way large organizations manage and minimize network security risks. With solutions from the network to the endpoint, Sourcefire provides customers with Agile SecurityTM that is as dynamic as the real world it protects and the attackers against which it defends. Sourcefire manages some of the industry’s most respected open source security projects, including Snort® and ClamAV®. As a result, Sourcefire delivers the best of both worlds—open source collaboration and innovation teamed with full commercial solutions.

K.S. Parag, MD at FVC, said, “We are very pleased to have Sourcefire on board. As cyber security continues to evolve, open-source based solutions with commercial power, like those offered by Sourcefire, are seeing a lot of acceptance from Global 2000 organizations and government agencies. This now means that our partners have a choice of Agile Security offerings to share with their customers.”

FVC will provide on the ground support in terms of training especially for pre- and post-sales support to its channel partners across the region.

Anthony Perridge, Sourcefire EMEA channel director, said: “Our distribution partnership with FVC is very important as we continue to drive agile, adaptive security solutions into the MENA region. Customers in this emerging market are demanding more visibility and protection as part of their security deployments, and we’re very pleased to be partnering with FVC to further provide this.”
