Fortinet and Dimension Data Form Global Partnership. Strategic Partnership Brings Leadership Security Technology and Consultative/Integration Services to clients in 47 Countries.

MIDDLE EAST, Oct. 21, 2008 – Fortinet® – the pioneer and leading
provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions – and Dimension
Data (LSE: DDT), a $3.8 billion leading IT solutions and services
provider, today announced a global agreement whereby Dimension Data
will integrate, install and provide consultancy services for Fortinet’s
network security solutions to enterprises worldwide. The new
partnership combines an innovative and proven security platform with
Dimension Data’s robust and trusted integration capabilities, which
will decrease clients’ time- and cost-to-market in creating secure
infrastructures.

This agreement with Dimension Data, operating in 47 countries across
five continents, marks Fortinet’s deepest and broadest global systems
integrator partnership. Fortinet’s proven technology, research and
development capabilities and market leadership in UTM, when combined
with Dimension Data’s global capabilities in consulting, integration
and support, will enable Dimension Data to continue to deliver
innovative and cost-effective security solutions to the market.

According to IDC, the UTM appliance market was worth $1.2B in 2007 and
is projected to have a compound annual growth rate of 26 percent
between 2007 and 2011 – growing faster than any other segment of the
security appliance market.

According to Neil Campbell, Managing Director, Global Security Line of Business

at Dimension Data: "We are seeing this growth trend among our large
global client base as integrated security appliances address key
frustrations experienced by users of point security products or
single-function appliances. Many enterprise clients are migrating from
firewall-only platforms to integrated security offerings combining
multiple applications and services in an effort to enhance and improve
overall security and performance while reducing cost and complexity."

Steve Joubert, Group Executive Global Solutions of Dimension Data said,
"Two factors made it a clear decision for us to partner with Fortinet.
The company has developed a strong reputation and market leadership for
its security platform and breadth of products that can meet the varied
needs of enterprises, service providers and carriers. This, together
with our proven track record of providing high quality, cost-effective
network services means the partnership is good for both companies and
our clients across the globe."

Already working with 74% of the Global Fortune 100 and 60% of the
Global Fortune 500, Dimension Data brings to the partnership knowledge,
understanding, trust and experience in creating secure infrastructures
in global markets.

"We are extremely pleased to share the global network security stage
with Dimension Data," said Ken Xie, president, founder and CEO of
Fortinet. "As we continue our penetration as a world-class network
security provider, it’s imperative that we work with highly respected
and trusted partners who maintain a strong global footprint as
Dimension Data does. We believe clients worldwide will gain an extra
measure of confidence in building their security infrastructure through
our partnership."

Comprehensive, Integrated Security Approach

The FortiGate® appliance is the flagship product in Fortinet’s network
security portfolio. Accelerated by security-specific ASICs, the
FortiGate appliance integrates essential security applications such as
antivirus, firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention, Web filtering,
anti-spam and traffic shaping. All FortiGate systems are kept
up-to-date by Fortinet’s FortiGuard® Network, which helps ensure
protection against the most damaging, content-based threats from email
and Web traffic such as viruses, worms, intrusions, other unwanted
network traffic and more – around the clock and around the world.

FortiGate systems are complemented by FortiDB™, FortiMail™, FortiAnalyzer™ and FortiManager™ product families.

  • FortiDB is a newly announced product dedicated to database
vulnerability assessment and designed to "harden" databases by
detecting weaknesses in passwords, access privileges and configuration
    settings.
  • FortiMail systems are high-performance, multi-layered email security
platforms that inspect email traffic to block unwanted spam,
information-stealing phishing scams, dangerous viruses and a host of
    other email-borne threats.
  • FortiAnalyzer systems are purpose-built appliances that provide
valuable intelligence and simplify and centralize the collection and
analysis of log and event data from Fortinet’s FortiGate security
appliances, delivering highly relevant network reports, valuable
intelligence on network usage and assistance with meeting regulatory
    compliance.
  • FortiManager appliances minimize the administrative effort required
to deploy, configure, monitor and maintain the full range of network
protection services provided by Fortinet products.
