In the Infonetics Research report, “Data Center Network Equipment, Quarterly Worldwide and Regional Market Share Size and Forecast, 4Q12,” updated March 12, 2013, Alcatel-Lucent with its award winning Data Center Switching solution outperformed all other vendors with revenue growing 20% from Q3’2012, compared to a market growth of 8%. This is the second quarter in a row that Alcatel-Lucent was the fastest growing data center switch vendor.
According to Matthias Machowinski, Directing Analyst, Enterprise Networks and Video, Infonetics Research, “Alcatel-Lucent has the top spot among its competitors in terms of revenue growth worldwide in Q4’2012 for the second quarter in a row. Only one other vendor saw double digit growth from Q3 to Q4, with the rest in the single digits or even negative.”
