DISTREE Middle East, the number one regional event for the ICT and consumer electronics (CE) retail channel, will expand its delegate base in 2012 to include senior buyers from the leading retailers in the CIS region. With many CIS retailers looking at options for sourcing product from the Middle East channel, the latest addition to the event’s delegate mix adds significant value for participating vendors.

Retailers such as DNS Computers from Azerbeijan will make their debut at DISTREE Middle East, ready to explore business opportunities with both existing vendor partners and potential new suppliers during the event. DNS is one of the largest retailers in Azerbeijan with a network of 20-plus outlets spread throughout the country.

“It is important to understand the supply routes that feed the growing CIS retail channel,” said Farouk Hemraj, CEO at DISTREE Events, the organiser of DISTREE Middle East. “With more CIS retailers looking at purchasing opportunities in the Middle East, it was a natural move to invite the top retailers from the CIS to attend DISTREE Middle East.”

“Our mission is to bring the main buyers together in one place at one time to maximise the business benefits for participating vendors and distributors,” he added. “We look forward to welcoming some of the most influential retailers in the CIS region to DISTREE Middle East.”

Other CIS companies already confirmed to attend DISTREE Middle East include Technoport from Georgia and Taze Dunya from Turkmenistan among others.

DISTREE Middle East takes place in Fujairah, UAE, from May 15-17th 2012. Positioned as an exclusive channel gathering, the annual three-day event is based on the successful concept of bringing high-level buyers from emerging markets into productive contact with vendors.
