The 3rd annual Middle East DISTREE Diamond Awards took place on May 9th in Dubai, in conjunction with regional consumer tech channel event DISTREE Middle East 2017. During the event, senior executives from consumer tech retailers and e-tailers were asked to assess all exhibitors on a range of factors including product portfolio, product roadmap, channel programme, business potential, go-to-market strategy, presentations and the quality of meetings and interaction at DISTREE Middle East 2017.

A series of live electronic votes took place during the Gala Dinner on the evening of May 9th to select the winners. DISTREE Middle East took place from May 8-10th at the Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, UAE. The event gives consumer tech brands and distributors access to senior retail and e-tail executives from across the wider Middle East region.

Stuart Wilson, organiser of the DISTREE Diamond Awards, commented: “We congratulate all DISTREE Diamond winners on their achievement. With 200-plus retailer and e-tailer executives attending, these awards identify and highlight brands that have a compelling channel proposition and strong business strategy.”

“It is important to remember that these awards recognise excellence in retail channel strategy. Winning a DISTREE Diamond Award indicates that a brand has been successful in promoting itself at DISTREE Middle East – and held high quality one-on-one meetings with both existing and potential retail and e-tail partners,” he added.

Exhibiting vendors and distributors pre-selected the DISTREE Diamond Award categories they entered. Vendors can nominate their brand in a maximum of three categories, while distributors were permitted to nominate three of the brands they represent in one category each.
