Dubai, 24 April 2011 – Corporate Publishing International (CPI), IDG’s Middle East partner, recognized five enterprise security projects for its Editor’s Choice Awards at the recent Security Strategist 2011 event, hosted in association with aeCERT.

 

The winners included Road and Transport Authority (RTA) in the Information Security Frameworks category, Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (DUBAL) for its Data Security Strategy, Emirates Group or Industry and Collaboration for Security, Bahrain e-Gov Authority in the Risk and Fraud awareness initiatives and finally Jumeirah Group won the award for Enterprise Security Strategy.

The Security Strategist 2011 Awards have been constituted as the Editor’s choice awards for industry executives that have been raising the bar for security in the community or the organization they work for.
Kavitha Rajasekhar, Director CIO Programmes at CPI said, “All five awardees this year have showcased a forward thinking approach to integrate security as an organization wide business strategy. We hope that this platform will grow each year with support from the industry.”

This year’s Security Strategist 2011 event was attended by over 120 IT and Security Heads. The event was an opportunity for CIOs of large enterprises to discuss and share solutions and innovative approaches towards security.
