New drive to provide pocket sized storage with Buffalo’s patented SecureLockMobile software

Middle East, 19 October 2008 – Following the successful launch of its
MicroStation SSD drive and upgraded MiniStation range, Buffalo
Technology unveils the NanoStation [HD-PTU2] – its first 1.8-inch
portable HDD for the first time in EMEA region. The device provides
consumers with a lightweight, compact and stylish option for storing
data on the move. The drive is the same size as three stacked credit
cards and weighs in at just 56g. It fits easily into a pocket making it
perfect for both business users and consumers.

What the device lacks in size, it makes up for in features and
durability. The NanoStation includes easy-to-use backup and sync
software; mobile applications such as Firefox and Thunderbird for
on-the-go email and web browsing; as well as Buffalo’s SecureLockMobile
software to prevent unauthorised access in the event the drive is lost
or stolen.

The drive is extremely easy to use with Plug-n-Play capabilities, and
is USB powered meaning no additional power supply is needed.

Kevin Vine, EMEA Sales and Marketing Director at Buffalo Technology,
comments: "When it comes to portable storage, a large proportion of
purchases are based on price, ease of use, looks and of course
portability. This latest addition to our storage range ticks all of
these boxes for the more design-conscious user, while still offering a
secure solution to safeguard sensitive data, making it ideal for both
personal and business use."

The NanoStation is backed by a limited two-year warranty and is
available in October from leading retailers in the Middle Eastat an
estimated street price of:

60GB US$ 134.99
