Dubai, UAE, 7 October 2011Cyber-security professionals will be delighted to learn Black Hat, the world’s most important information security conference have confirmed four of their speakers are presenting at GITEX Technology Week 2011 as part of their cyber-security feature (9th – 12th October 2011).

The full Black Hat Abu Dhabi event is scheduled to run from the 12th to 15th December 2011 at Emirates Palace and is brought to the Middle East by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) represented by the UAE Computer Emergency Response Team (aeCERT) in cooperation with Khalifa University of Science and Technology and Research in partnership with UBM.

The Black Hat presentations at GITEX will offer a taste of what delegates can expect to experience at the full Black Hat Abu Dhabi event to be held in December.

Travis Carelock, Black Hat Technical Director and Resident Technologist said “I’m looking forward to presenting “what is Black Hat?” at GITEX Technology Week in the lead up to the full Black Hat Abu Dhabi to be held in December”.

Other Black Hat speakers at GITEX will include Richard Thieme presenting on ‘The Future of Hacking’; Russ Rogers on ‘Keys to the Kingdom’ and Paul Criscuolo on ‘Incident Management Principles’.

From 1997, Black Hat has grown from a single annual conference in Las Vegas to a global conference series with annual events Europe including Barcelona and Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Washington DC and Abu Dhabi.

Black Hat Abu Dhabi will offer a full range of ten hands-on, high intensity training sessions over 2 days, followed by 2 days of short, topical presentation briefings running alongside an exhibition; in a completely vendor-neutral environment.
