Aptec Holdings, one of the largest technology distributors in Middle East, Turkey & Africa, won the award for IT Distributor of the Year at the 2009 Channel Middle East Awards. Aptec was judged the overall winner by a judging panel in a field of 9 distributors selected in this category.

Andrew Seymour, editor for Channel Middle East said, "Aptec is a company that has a long history in the Middle East market and always demonstrated its ability to diversify its business model and add value to customers. The appointment of several key enterprise brands last year reaffirmed its strategy of aligning more closely with vendors that have a compelling solutions-based offering to help reseller customers achieve higher margins. Its investments in extra working capital and the ongoing automation of warehouse management and logistics services have also been augmented by increased coverage in major regional markets."

Dr Ali Baghdadi, CEO at Aptec Holdings said, “We are proud to be the recipient of this Award and are very conscious of the honour it places on us. As a distributor that has seen the changes in the IT market, we made a commitment to invest in the right level of resources that would help our vendor and channel partners expand and grow their businesses organically. This will continue and we hope to expand our services and support structure in the region.”
