Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a division of Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) are demonstrating upgrades in their OpenTouch system at Gitex this year. Demonstration will highlight enterprise communications incorporating existing systems and multimedia conversations.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s OpenTouch™ Business Edition targets enterprises with up to 1500 users and delivers an unprecedented level of openness. This new solution, enriched with Genesys SIP server technology, provides a native multimedia conferencing engine. It offers smooth migration for existing Alcatel-Lucent Business integrated Communication Solution (BiCS) customers.

“Communication in the enterprise is key, especially communication with the customer,” said Alain Penel, VP Middle East & Africa at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. “We demonstrated the advantage of OpenTouch at our ‘Dynamic Enterprise’ Tour earlier this year and there was great enthusiasm for it among the invited enterprise customers. Gitex 2011 will provide us with the platform to share this with a wider audience across the region.”

OpenTouch™ Multimedia Services delivers the power of multimedia conversations to enterprise, combining all of the components of multimedia content delivery into a suite of applications that can be managed under a single environment. It provides easy-to-use, end-to-end management and enables organizations to deploy a fully integrated solution to support an individual service or multiple services for a customized mix of content relevant to their business.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise’s innovations in this segment has earned it a place in the Leaders’ Quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications and Telephony as well as the Most Innovative European Communications Product of the Year Award for OpenTouch at 2011 Frost & Sullivan Europe ICT Awards.

The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise stand will be located in Zabeel Hall – E30.
