Now in its 21st year, the CineEurope convention will move from its previous home in Amsterdam, to El Centro de Convenciones Internacional de Barcelona, Spain.

Situated at Suite D, NEC Display Solutions will be showcasing the products and expertise for today’s cinema industry, and demonstrating why in the field of digital cinema NEC has a market share of 32.7 per cent (for Western Europe)*.

Also on display will be NEC’s newest addition to its family of digital cinema projectors. The NC900C, with integrated IMS, uses Texas Instrument’s brand new S2K chipset, the first device on the market to do so. Built for the discerning digital cinema industry, all of these projectors incorporate the premium picture quality, high innovation and best reliability in combination with low cost of ownership that cinemas expect from a brand such as NEC.

In addition, NEC will present the latest digital signage and video wall solutions – perfect for the foyer environment to showcase trailers, upcoming shows, advertising and related media. Alongside the projectors themselves, demonstrations will also be available on the booth highlighting the benefits of an NEC service-based Network Operations Centre (NOC), including remote failure warnings, diagnosis and management.

“CineEurope attracts the widest possible range of European theatre owners and operators. This gives NEC a great platform to launch our newest digital cinema products and to highlight our strong partner and customer relationships,” said Gerd Kaiser, Product Line Manager Large Venue Projectors at NEC Display Solutions Europe.

“The entire European theatrical industry attends to receive the latest information on new technologies, trends in the industry, upcoming films and speakers from the European Union. It allows us, not only to showcase the expertise and range of advanced 4K and 2K cinema projector solutions, but also the digital signage solutions that NEC has to offer to the cinema industry to enhance the total cinema experience.”

The CineEurope trade show is the longest running and most prestigious event for the European cinema exhibition and distribution communities, which brings together more than 1,500 cinema exhibition professionals from over 50 countries to do business and discuss the latest innovations in the industry.
