Dubai, 2 December, 2013 – NEC Display Solutions Europe has updated three models in its MultiSync® TM Series multi-touch display range, offering excellent real multi-touch performance that supports up to five touch points including gesture control for Windows 7 and 8. The displays’ functionality allows for quick, accurate finger swipes and brush strokes so users can zoom, flick and rotate objects.

These features, together with improved LED backlight, reduced power consumption and operating costs, make them a perfect fit for interactive applications across the corporate, education, retail, as well as leisure and museums sectors.

“The excellent performance of our updated TM Series displays make them ideal for interactive usage such as touch-screen whiteboards, digital signage and way finding, especially where multi-touch is required,” said Ian Gobey, General Manager-Middle East at NEC Display Solutions Europe. “True multi-touch support with up to five simultaneous touch points provides the functionality users need. Plus, with Plug & Play installation, no calibration or drivers are needed, so it couldn’t be easier for our new models to fit seamlessly into classrooms, meeting rooms and leisure venues.”

With its large 65-inch display, the MultiSync® V652-TM is ideal as an interactive whiteboard installation. It comes with a free DisplayNote NEC Edition Presenter License for presenting, sharing and collaborating with multiple participants across any device and platform from the touch display. This software, used together with the height-adjustable mounting solution, makes the display the complete package for the corporate meeting room or classroom to bring meetings and lessons to life.

The MultiSync® V423-TM & V463-TM measure 42- and 46-inches respectively, making them perfect for use in a retail or leisure environment. The multi-touch element brings an immersive experience and total ease of use to a range of applications in shops, museums and other leisure venues – such as interactive retail signage, or way finding and self-help kiosks in a museum.

The updated TM Series displays incorporate optical imaging touch technology, which delivers five key advantages over other technologies. It allows for Plug & Play installation – no calibration or drivers are needed, so installation couldn’t be easier. No calibration shift results in low maintenance costs and removes the need to re-calibrate the displays. High picture quality is guaranteed because unlike other technologies, optical imaging touch technology doesn’t use a foil layer on top of the screen. This means there’s no interference with the picture quality of the display. In addition, the displays can be operated by bare hands, gloves and stylus, and even in cases of scratches or wear, the touch function remains unaffected.

Several features lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) of the updated displays and make them more environmentally friendly. In line with NEC’s Green Vision, the displays possess features including an Ambient Light Sensor and improved LED backlights compared to predecessor models, which result in lower power consumption and maintenance costs.

A metal chassis is used on all models, which increases the durability of the displays. For full readability of display content in any setting, the three new models come with a double-sided anti-reflection glass, which reduces reflection and avoids mirrored imaging. The displays can be used in landscape or portrait mode, and multiple mounting options provide additional flexibility.
