Travelling light - safe access |

Okay I've just found a cool tool that backs up your documents (instantly and regularly) and does not take up as much space. Its free and works with Windows, Macs or Linux.

If like me you are a small operation and travelling and need a file that's sitting on your computer at home or in the office, you might want to check this out. Logmein.com enables you to do just that through the web. Life is so much better now.

Free texting and Twitter updates |
|
I have just started using Twitter and unfortunately - unlike Facebook or LinkedIn - it is more like a conversation and without SMS updates you miss a lot of information and opportunities because the SMS service is not available. However, thanks to two other Twitter people (is that Tweeple perhaps? I'm new at this as you can tell) - there is a service that helps with this. So I thought I would share this with you. Its called TWE2 and its free. At least I think it is.

This one's is for the "blaggers" |
|
And before you say it - PR people are not blaggers or at least most of them are not. They just have a nice turn of phrase. However if you feel that you might be exaggerating just a bit or using too many cliches - you might like to check Bullfighter.

If you use IM on a daily basis not just for personal use but also for work, if you have more than one ID from Yahoo, MSN etc and have to sign in individually - then Trillian is a boon. One portal to sign in to multiple IM programs. Try it - its open source and its free.
