MONACO, PARIS, 24 February 2015 – The 13th annual DISTREE EMEA starts today with more than 1000 delegates registered to attend the four-day event, which runs from February 24th to 27th. DISTREE EMEA gives technology and consumer electronics (CE) brands the opportunity to pre-schedule one-on-one meetings with senior executives from the region’s most influential retailers, e-tailers and distributors.

Farouk Hemraj, Director and Co-Founder at DISTREE Events, said: “We already have more than 6000 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings confirmed between delegates at DISTREE EMEA 2015. We thank all delegates for their continued support of DISTREE EMEA.”

“DISTREE EMEA remains the most efficient way for all technology and CE brands to enhance their relationships with the volume channel. The influx of new brands to the EMEA region remains strong. In addition, we continue to see strong levels of innovation in new product areas such as wearables and smart home products,” he added.

DISTREE EMEA 2015 is supported by Gold Sponsors Manhattan-Intellinet, Modecom and Ricoh; plus Silver Sponsors IBDL, Strontium, v-color and Valore. GfK is an Event Partner at this year’s event and will deliver a comprehensive programme of speeches and workshops at the event.

DISTREE EMEA has relocated its exhibition area to the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Offering 60% more space, the new venue allows the event to host even more brands. A record number of more than 150 retail executives are attending DISTREE EMEA, representing more than 110 retailers and e-tailers from 32 countries.

“The attendance from retailers continues to grow year-on-year,” added Hemraj. “Major European retailers such as Amazon, Darty and Euronics are all attending DISTREE EMEA, giving brands the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions regarding their European retail strategy.”

The EMEA distribution channel is well represented at this year’s event with 300 distribution executives from more than 250 distributors attending. Distributors from 65 countries are present at DISTREE EMEA 2015, giving participating brands a powerful opportunity to manage, build or launch international channel reach.

DISTREE EMEA 2015 will also see the launch of the inaugural DISTREE Diamond Awards series for exhibiting brands. The recipients of DISTREE Diamond Awards will be determined using on-site feedback from channel partners at the event. The DISTREE Diamond Awards will cover 17 separate categories at DISTREE EMEA.

DISTREE EMEA also includes a comprehensive conference programme with a mixture of keynotes, new product showcases and awards sessions. Additional workshop and summit sessions from Content Providers CONTEXT, Ocean Solutions, Red Dolphin, Regent and Quadmark, will give delegates insight on the latest channel trends and business models.

“DISTREE EMEA continues to develop, reflecting structural changes in the regional channel as the traditional roles of vendors, distributors and retailers evolve. By bringing together all these groups in one place at one time, DISTREE EMEA aims to help all participating companies adapt to changing market conditions and ensure their business remains strong,” added Hemraj.

“Whether it is an e-tailer looking to provide merchant services for a vendor, or a distributor providing online fulfillment services for a retailer, channel models are changing. Rapid product lifecycles, changes in consumer purchasing patterns and the emergence of new product categories increase the complexity for channel companies,” he continued.

DISTREE EMEA 2015 unites all the major channel stakeholders in the volume technology and CE space in one place at one time, providing a powerful platform for channel business development. From start-ups to established A-brands, the event continues to deliver a wide range of business benefits for all participating exhibitors.
