Cairo, Egypt, 2 June 2009: FVC, one of the leading Value Added Distributors across the Middle East and North Africa with dedicated offices in United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Morocco, attended the recently concluded BankTech 2009 conference in Cairo along with its vendor partners, Citrix, Google Enterprise, TippingPoint, Polycom, Riverbed and VASCO.


Hosted on 26th and 27th May 2009, BankTech showcased the latest technological ICT products, solutions and services for the overall financial sector including banking, insurance, investment, stock market and securities.

Ahmed Youssef, FVC’s GM for Egypt addressed the delegates from Egypt’s financial sector on PCI-DSS compliance  while Mark Sparshott of Google Enterprise shared his insight on “Securing and managing the threat of email downtime from phishing attacks” covering its anatomy, scale, risk and mitigation.
Youssef said, “Our focus at the event was to share information on how technology could help financial institutions get PCI-DSS certified (a security requirement for all banks for their credit cards).”
FVC also had a booth that represented Citrix, Google Enterprise, TippingPoint, Polycom, Riverbed and VASCO.
